The Finance Department has given clearance for 26,898 new posts in all 1,961 improved and fresh public schools, with 43,960 previous outsourced school posts now terminated under the School Education Department.

Based on an official notice from May 16, 2025, the provincial government will only take on the decision if there is no financial strain added to its budget.

Existing teaching and support staff will move from overstaffed to understaffed schools according to the amount of students compared to teachers and the total supply of instructors from outsourced institutions.

The memo makes it clear that no new hires of teachers or support staff are planned. Instead, the company will make decisions about staffing by looking at the existing team.

Positions approved in Norwegian Oil and Gas are organized in the following departments:

Newly Established Schools: 47 primary schools have 423 posts, 1 elementary school consists of 19 posts and 5 high schools as 135 posts.

School-Based Cadre (SBC): Schools at every level, from the first one to high school, are covered by 1,181 independent profiles (14,172 posts).
